  Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC)

  Shannon is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with experience in both Family and Obesity Medicine as well as Medical Weight Loss and Geriatrics. She has cultivated a profound passion for obesity medicine. She previously worked at Inova Fairfax Hospital in the postpartum unit with new mothers, infants, and their families to ensure a safe and positive postpartum experience. She has her Bachelors from James Madison University and her Masters from George Mason University. Embracing the field’s intricacies, she diligently pursues her NP certification with the Obesity Medicine Association. Committed to staying abreast of the latest research, she prioritizes ongoing education to enhance her ability to serve her patients effectively.

  Sylvia Luther, MD

  Board-Certified Family Physician

  Dr. Sylvia Luther is a board-certified Family Physician with over two decades of experience in civilian and military healthcare. She earned her MD from George Washington University School of Medicine, completed aviation medicine training, and served as a naval flight surgeon on the USS JFK. After her military service, she completed a family medicine residency in Fairfax, where she also served as academic chief resident. Dr. Luther has provided comprehensive family medicine care across the Department of Defense, caring for active-duty personnel, retirees, and their families. In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to medical education as a teaching consultant and has been involved in patient-centered care initiatives. She is licensed in Virginia and is board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine.

  Registered Dietitian

  Nicole Iori, RD, is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with Prima Medicine and a key member of the Prima Weight Loss Program. She provides science-based nutrition therapy and compassionate coaching to support weight loss, metabolic health, and chronic disease management. Nicole specializes in individualized meal planning, medical nutrition therapy, and coordinated care, with experience in GLP-1 support, diabetes education, and sustainable lifestyle change.
